Courier Drivers

Road and liability

Insurance gaps and lost parcels

Hire-and-reward motor cover is not the same as commuting insurance. Goods-in-transit and public liability sit in another conversation. A missing policy can leave you paying for a claim.

What to watch for

  • Using a social policy on courier work
  • No goods-in-transit when you carry other people's cargo
  • A contract that makes you the insurer

Practical next steps

  • Ask the operator what they cover and get it in writing
  • Speak to a regulated broker — this site does not sell insurance
  • Never store policy schedules or licence scans in your Courier Drivers profile
